🌉 Gaokao English-Paper Support & UK Foundation Year Maths Bridging
Gaokao English + UK Foundation Year Bridge — online tuition
For students on China's domestic Gaokao track who are also planning a UK Foundation Year (the standard bridge from Chinese secondary education into a UK undergraduate degree). This is not Gaokao tutoring — the Gaokao itself is taught and examined in Chinese, outside what this site's tutors teach. What we do offer: focused support for the Gaokao's English paper, and Maths bridging aligned to UK Foundation Year entry requirements, so the transition into a UK degree starts from a position of strength rather than catch-up.
We support the English-language paper of the Gaokao and provide Maths bridging aligned to UK Foundation Year entry requirements — not the Gaokao's Chinese-medium subject papers, which sit outside what this site's tutors teach.
What this covers — and what it doesn't
- Taught in English, by UK-based tutors
- Mapped to the credential's own syllabus and assessment criteria
- CST-friendly evening lesson slots
- Progress feedback parents can actually use
Gaokao English + UK Foundation Year Bridge — FAQs
Do you teach the Gaokao's Chinese-medium subject papers?
No — the Gaokao's core subject papers are taught and examined in Chinese, which sits outside what this site's tutors teach. What we do offer is genuinely English-language: IB Diploma Mathematics for students on an outbound university pathway, and English-paper plus UK Foundation Year maths bridging support for Gaokao-track students. We'd rather say plainly what's outside our scope than overclaim.
Is this the same as your international-school China page?
Related but different. Our existing China page is for expatriate families at British-curriculum international schools in cities like Shanghai and Shenzhen, studying IGCSE/A-Level day to day. This page is for the outbound-pathway offer above — IB Diploma or Gaokao-plus-Foundation-Year students aiming at a UK or overseas university.
How do lesson timings work between the UK and China?
China is 7-8 hours ahead of the UK, so an evening slot in China (6pm-10pm CST) lands in the UK late morning to early afternoon — a workable, repeatable weekly time for most students and tutors.
How are fees paid from China?
Payment is by international card or bank transfer; we'll confirm current rates when you enquire. The first discussion about Gaokao English + UK Foundation Year Bridge — where we assess level, goals and the right exam board — is always free.
