Image-to-Video

What is it

Image-to-video tools take a single still image and generate motion from it — adding camera movement, animating specific elements, or extending the image into a short clip — giving far more control over the starting visual than text-to-video alone.

Why it matters

Starting from an image you've already chosen or created gives much more predictable, controllable results than generating purely from text, which is especially valuable when a specific look — a logo, product photo, or piece of artwork — needs to stay recognisable in the final video.

Exam tip

Choose a starting image with a clear focal point and simple background before animating it — busy or cluttered source images tend to produce distorted or unstable motion, while clean compositions animate far more reliably.
