Regression
What is it
Undergraduate regression extends simple linear regression to multiple regression (several predictor variables at once), covering model assumptions, diagnostics, and how to interpret coefficients rigorously.
Why it matters
Regression is the statistical technique most directly used across science, business, and data science for understanding relationships between variables and making predictions — from economics to medicine to machine learning, it's a genuinely universal tool.
Exam tip
Always check regression assumptions (linearity, independence, constant variance of residuals, normality) using diagnostic plots before trusting the model's conclusions — a well-fitting R² value can still come from a model that violates these assumptions badly.
